Bathroom remodeling is always a rewarding challenge, especially when designing spaces for young families. Our latest project involved redoing the bathrooms for the kids of a wonderful family. Adria, the mother, had specific requirements: the bathroom had to look good, be durable, and easy to clean. Here’s how we accomplished this bathroom remodeling project and a funny story along the way.
Bathroom Remodeling for a Young Family
Bathroom remodeling can be daunting, but with the right approach, it becomes an enjoyable process. For Adria’s family, we chose pebbles for the shower floor, which provided a natural, slip-resistant surface. The shower walls were adorned with ceramic tiles from Interceramic that mimic the look of beaten stone and fabric, giving the space a unique texture and feel. Unfortunately, Interceramic went bankrupt, so these tiles are now rare treasures.
Key Features in This Bathroom Remodeling Project
To ensure functionality and style, we included shampoo niches accented with pebbles, which not only look great but are also easy to clean. For a sleek and modern look, we opted for a single shower panel with large angled shower heads. This choice not only adds to the bathroom’s aesthetic appeal but also simplifies maintenance.
Ensuring Easy Maintenance
During this bathroom remodeling project, we kept ease of cleaning in mind. The materials chosen are resistant to wear and tear, making them perfect for a family with kids. The pebbles and ceramic tiles are durable and easy to wipe down, ensuring the bathroom stays looking new for years.
A Funny Incident
Here’s a funny story from this bathroom remodeling project. We had to come back for a warranty issue when one of the bathrooms stopped draining. It turned out that one of the kids liked to wash his pet in the shower, and all the fur clogged the drain! Despite this being beyond our usual warranty coverage, we understood that kids will be kids, and we fixed the issue without charge. This incident highlighted the importance of our one-year warranty and our commitment to customer satisfaction.

At the end of this project, we had to come back for a warranty issue in one of these bathrooms. The shower was not draining because one of the kids liked to wash his pet in there, and all the fur clogged the drain. But Adria knows she was covered because we offer a one-year warranty. This case was an exception, but we didn’t charge her. Sometimes, we understand kids.
