      You’re actually the first to ask in this space β€” I appreciate you reaching out!

      The answer is typically no, a permit isn’t required unless the project involves structural changes (like removing bearing walls) or exterior modifications (such as changing the home’s shape, adding a dormer, etc.).

      Most kitchen remodels in The Woodlands replacing cabinets, flooring, countertops, or appliancesβ€”don’t require a permit. So if your project is similar, you should be good to go.
