    1. Hi John,
You’re actually the first to ask in this space — I appreciate you reaching out!

The answer is typically no, a permit isn’t required unless the project involves structural changes (like removing bearing walls) or exterior modifications (such as changing the home’s shape, adding a dormer, etc.).

Most kitchen remodels in The Woodlands replacing cabinets, flooring, countertops, or appliances—don’t require a permit. So if your project is similar, you should be good to go.

If you’d like help managing your remodel, just fill out the form and someone from my office will reach out to schedule an appointment.

  1. The cost of a guest bathroom remodel typically ranges between $10,000 and $20,000, depending on the size, materials, and overall scope of work. Most projects average around $13,000.

  2. Is it actually possible to do a full bathroom renovation in The Woodlands for $10,000? I’m not talking about just a quick makeover with new paint and fixtures—I mean a real renovation, top to bottom. Curious what’s realistic these days.

  3. Absolutely—you can renovate a bathroom on a $10,000 budget if the project is planned wisely. While it might not include luxury finishes or full custom work, you can still get a complete transformation that’s clean, functional, and visually impressive.

Here’s what happens often: people reach out asking for quotes and list everything they’d like—new tile, vanity, lighting, maybe even reconfiguring the layout. So we quote based on their exact wishlist. But if they had just said from the start, “I’ve got $12,500—what can we do that really makes a difference?” we could’ve helped guide the budget toward smarter upgrades. Sometimes, choosing a stunning quartz countertop over custom cabinetry can create a bigger impact. (And for the record—prefab cabinets aren’t a downgrade. I represent US Cabinet Depot here in Houston, and their cabinetry is solid, stylish, and budget-friendly.)

One moment that stuck with me: a woman stopped me at the grocery store. She and her husband had contacted us about a remodel, but ended up hiring someone cheaper. She told me, half-joking and half-frustrated, that she regrets it every day—because she’s the one who uses that bathroom every day. The kicker? They had shown the contractor one of our bathrooms from our gallery and asked him to replicate it. But the finished result didn’t even come close.

Bottom line—when homeowners are upfront about their goals and budget, we can help them get the most out of every dollar. And that usually means a result they’ll love for years—not something they wish they could redo.

  4. Is $25,000 enough to fully remodel a master bathroom in Montgomery, Texas — including a freestanding tub and custom tile shower?

    1. Absolutely, Sandra — with smart planning, a $25,000 budget can absolutely cover a full master bathroom remodel in Montgomery, Texas, especially when we focus on the upgrades that bring both beauty and functionality.

In fact, one of our most popular layouts includes exactly what you’re describing: a freestanding soaking tub paired with a custom walk-in shower using large-format tile. That combo creates a spa-like feel and really transforms the space.

Most of our master bath remodels in the $20k–$30k range include:

      New vanities with quartz countertops
Freestanding tub installation (including plumbing modifications)
Custom tile shower with frameless glass
      Upgraded lighting and mirrors
Floor tile, paint, and updated layout where possible
Every remodel is a little different, but here in Montgomery and nearby areas like The Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe, we’ve completed many beautiful bathrooms within that same range. The key is balancing custom features with smart material selections.

If you’re ready to explore what’s possible in your space, just fill out the form — happy to put together a tailored plan that makes the most of every dollar.
